Calculate Retail Prices

After all the General Settings and Market Settings have been set up correctly for all markets, it is possible to calculate the retail prices for the market that you have selected.

Looking at the diagram above the Calculate Retail Prices does the following:

In this example Market China is selected, so only the Market Price File for China is created. This Importer has three Stock management companies and with help of the General Settings and Market Settings, it is known what Stock Companies 'own' the parts in the price file for settings necessary during calculation.

The set up Calculation Groups split the Master Price File into groups after which define the calculation factors.

Retail- and whole price calculation using calculation group factors:

• Take the cost price-base (vendor net, vendor list, average cost price or last landed cost price).
• Bring this cost price base to the base currency using the price calculation currency rate table.
• Multiply this base currency amount by the CIF factor.
• If available and set up in the parameters, add duty costs.
• Raise the amount by the sales factor (or whole sale factor if a whole sale price should be calculated).
• Bring to the market currency using the price calculation currency rate table.
• Round to the next value according the currency rounding factors.

After the calculation is done you have the possibility to calculate again or create the Market price file.

The Market Price File is a separate file on the Autoline system. The Market Price File can be sent via the Communication program to the dealers, which must be set up in the Market parameters.
