The View chain function displays the graphical presentation for a part supersession chain.
The left side of the screen shows the details of the requested, suggested and alternative part numbers. The right side of the screen shows a graphical presentation of the complete supersession chain for the requested part.

The left hand side of the Details area can contain up to 3 parts groupings

Short list of alternatives:
With each group detailing the
Part number
requested quantity (Qty)
Quantity on stock (St)
Quantity on purchase order (Po)
Quantity on back orders (Bo)
The right hand side of the Details area displays all the information of the superseded parts.
Note: Depending on the Supersession code type in use parameter, the Standard Autoline condition code or the Mercedes-Benz condition code is displayed for the parts. The concerning code is also displayed in the description of the part on the WIP.
Text Colours |
A part with Bold text indicates that the part is requested by the user. |
A part with Blue text indicates that the part is a suggested part. |
A part with Red text and a description of Unknown is not found in the stock and price file. |
A part with Grey text indicates that this part could not be chosen because it is not an alternative for the requested part. |
A part with Red background indicates that this part has conflicts. |
Clicking the Requested toolbar button loads the part shown in the requested parts details area.
Clicking the Suggested toolbar button loads the suggested part from the parts details area.
Clicking the Alternatives toolbar button loads the selected alternative part from the parts details area.
Clicking the Quantity toolbar button enables the change to the required quantity.
