Using Autoline Online Help

You can read Autoline online help by clicking a Help button, toolbar icon Help or by pressing F1. Autoline's online help assumes that you have a working knowledge of computers. Although designed to be easy to use there are some points to bear in mind when using the online help.

Navigation

There is a selection of navigation buttons at the top and bottom of most help pages.

Button Name Description
(Contents) Table of Contents page Lists all help topics for the module you are in
(Previous) Previous Takes you to the previous page in Table of Contents order
(Next) Next Takes you to the next page in Table of Contents order
(Top of the Page) Top of the page Returns you to the top of the current page

Note: The previous and next buttons operate differently from your browser's forward and back buttons (and keyboard equivalents). The help page's own back button does not necessarily return you to the page you came from. Clicking the previous and next buttons is analogous to turning the pages of a printed manual.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks (links) are underlined text on a help page. Text hyperlinks and hyperlinks as buttons at the top and bottom of the page, enable you to read other help pages. Clicking on any underlined link takes you to a subject related to your task. There are also related subjects in See also and Related Topics.

Note: A link may be to a different help page, a different place on the same page, or to a page in a different help module. In the last case the page is displayed in a new browser window.
