Introduction to Autoline

This online help provides basic information and guidance about the Autoline system. It assumes you have a working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers (PCs).

Autoline is an integrated computer-based management system specifically designed and developed for the administrative requirements and functions of the automotive industry. These functions include sales, service, parts, and accounts. Autoline provides controls and processes to deliver efficient and cost-effective operational management at all levels.

Autoline Set-up

Autoline consists of several elements of computer hardware and software, depending on the organisation's specific requirements. Each Autoline system is individually tailored to manage different operating structures, data handling capabilities and departmental procedures. Details of the installed system, including any ancillary items, can be obtained from your system manager.

Permissions and Security

Warning: To prevent access by unauthorised people, do not reveal your password and user ID to anyone.

To gain access to the Autoline system you must be authorised by your system administrator/manager. Authorised users are allocated unique user identifications and passwords and a level of access priority for each Autoline module.

Note: The Autoline system functions, including system logins, are case-sensitive. Logins should be created in lower case letters.
