The Fines functionality has been designed to alleviate unnecessary administration in the handling, recording and recharging (with sufficient details on the invoice) of multiple fines incurred by customers.

To access Fines Maintenance:
From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle rentals option and Company required.
The VEHICLE RENTALS Menu is displayed.
Select the Reservations option.
The Reservations and Availability form is displayed.
Select the Fines Management option from the Agreement toolbar.
The Fines Maintenance form is displayed.
This form is divided into four parts that are as follows:
Title Bar
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar displays other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Following selection of a fine record in the Fines Grid this option opens the Fine Details form in edit mode so that details of an existing fine may be edited. The record cannot be opened in Edit mode if the agreement has already been invoiced. |

Following selection of a fine record in the Fines Grid this option opens the Fine Details form in display mode only so that details of an existing fine may be viewed. |

Exits the Fines Maintenance form. The ALT F4 shortcut is an alternative way of exiting the form. |

Displays the Fine Details form and then enables the fine to be invoiced and posts the charge through to accounts. |
| Actions > Delete |  |
Displays the Fine Details form and then enables the fine record currently selected in the grid to be deleted. |
| Help > |  |
Provides online access to context sensitive help for the current application using the default browser. |
Fines Maintenance Dialogue Box
Consists of a grid of all the fines currently held against the selected vehicle agreement. A single-left-click on any fine within the grid displays a small sub-menu of applicable options (these replicate the options available on the Menu Bar and Tool Bar - namely, Create, Amend, Display, Delete and Print.
The following fields are displayed for each record within the grid:
Offence Date: Date the offence occurred.
Type: Description of the offence for example, Speeding fine
Reference: A user-defiend reference for the offence, entered by the rental operator in the Fine Details form.
Value: Total value of the fine i.e. the Fine Amount plus, if applicable, the Admin Fee.
Invoice Number: Relevant invoice number if the fine record has been printed and posted to accounts.
