Warning If any stationery formats are amended, the changes are not reflected within the system until this option is run. Any changes made to the position of existing fields or any new fields added, etc, only come into effect once the format stationery overlay is generated. This option compiles and generates all formats shown in the format list in the General Tab within System Parameters. Once the process is complete all users should exit the Vehicle Rentals Module because the new formats are not loaded until the module is re-entered.
Tip: Within a multiple Vehicle Rental company operation this gives the opportunity of generating the overlay in one company so that it can be tested without affecting other rental companies.
To generate the format overlay:
From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle rentals option and Company required.
The VEHICLE RENTALS menu is displayed.
Select System maintenance option.
The System Maintenance menu is displayed.
Select the Generate format overlay option.
The Generate format stationery overlay form is displayed.
Click the Execute button.
The system begins processing and generates the format overlay. When processing is completed, you are returned to the System Maintenance menu.
The Generate format Overlay form is displayed when the Generate format overlay option is selected from the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
Execute: Begins processing and generates the format overlay.
Exit: Returns you to the System Maintenance menu.
Help: Displays online context-sensitive help on the current application in the default browser.
