Maintenance Control Sales Bids Tab

The Sales Bids Tab is accessed via the top section of the Maintenance Control form.

Selection of the Bids Tab enables the review of any disposal bids received against the vehicle. Although non-editible within this tab, in other areas of the system this form is used as a memo recording facility and the data recorded does not have to be actioned or carried forward in any way.

Disposal bids may be both created and reviewed within the Bids Tab form within the Remarketing process. However, the Sales Bids Tab also displays bids that are created using the Edit Sales Bids within Contract/Global Review.

Tip: The Sales Bids Tab is displayed immediately when accessing Maintenance Control if their are any current bids against the vehicle.

The Sales Bids Tab Dialogue Box displays a Bids Grid which allows disposal sales bids received against a vehicle to be reviewed.

Sales Bids Grid:

The fields contained within the Sales Bids Grid are as follows:

Date: The date on which the disposal bid is made.

Mileage: The odometer reading at the time of the disposal valuation.

Locn: The Sales Location code field for denoting the sales area type from which the bid is made e.g. ADT ADT Auctions, PRIPrivate Sale or WEB Online Auction. The Sales Location codes are set-up within Terminations / Miscellaneous Options / Sales Locations.

For enquiries that are not direct bids it is suggested that a location code such as ENQ is used to distinguish these.

Locn Description: The Sales Location Description associated with the Locn code.

Notes: A thirty character free-format alphanumeric field for displaying further information related to the bid.

Valuation: The monetary value of the bid received.

The following six CAP columns are only displayed if the Use CAP Black Book checkbox is ticked within the Details Tab in Terminations / System Maintenance / System Parameters. Following entry of the Date and Mileage column values and tabbing away, if the new CAP Black Book system parameter is ticked then the 6 CAP columns are populated with the data from valuation systems using the date and mileage entered. The 6 CAP values are displayed as read only.

CAP Clean: The imported CAP Black Book value for vehicles in good condition.

CAP Average: The imported CAP Black Book value for vehicles in average condition.

CAP Below: The imported CAP Black Book value for vehicles in below average condition.

CAP Retail: The imported CAP Black Book value for vehicles to be sold at retail value.
