This form enables the registration number of the vehicle to be changed.
Note: The previous registration number is still held within the agreement file. This is an audited event.
Note: If the Include NL Txns in Amend Reg checkbox is left unticked in the General 2 Tab of System Parameters the Amend Registration routine ripples through files changing registration number occurrences as required, but it does not do this in the Nominal ledger transaction file or Nominal Ledger archive transaction file. If this checkbox is ticked then the Amend Registration routine also amends the registration in the in the Nominal ledger transaction file and Nominal Ledger archive transaction file. This is only important where registration number is being used as a suffix.
To access the amend registration option:
From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the Contract Management option.
The Contract Management form is displayed.
Select the 
icon.
The Contract Search form is displayed.
Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.
Select the 
icon.
Select the 
shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.
The contract management Agreement Tab is displayed.
Select Amend Registration from the Tools Menu.
The Amend Registration form is displayed.
Enter the new registration number in the New Registration field (a system warning message is displayed if the registration number is a duplication).
Select the OK command button.
The new registration is confirmed in the Contract Management Status Bar (immediately below the Toolbar).

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
The Amend Registration form contains the following fields which may be edited:
New Registration: Initially displays the registration number of the vehicle currently associated with the selected agreement. This value may be overtyped with the new registration number.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
The full list of command buttons is as follows:
OK: Changes the registration number wherever it is held within the agreement.
Cancel: Exits the form and returns to the agreement tabs without taking any action.
Help: Displays online context-sensitive help using the default browser.
