Selection of the Posting Controls option from the Fleet System Management / Miscellaneous Options displays the Posting Controls Menu . This gives access to a number of sub-menus enabling the creation, editing and deletion of set-up tables for the module. Within Rev 7 the Posting Controls menu was located within the Quotations module.
This form is split into five parts, which are as follows:
In addition to displaying the form name and company the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
This Broadcast Box is used by the System Administrator to broadcast system messages.
Located beneath and to the left of the Broadcast Box, this is a Menu listing the entire form and sub-menu options available (dependent upon User Priority Levels). Options currently available are as follows:
Enables the creation/editing of a posting controls table for the Lease Type/Product.
Lease Definitions control what is included within a contract; how these items are invoiced to the customer and posted into the accounts system; and by what payment pattern rentals and budgets are posted.
Supplies a template for each time one of these new lease definition is created, thus making the process faster. As several different products are likely to be offered, this option enables the creation of a unique template for each product.
The schedules govern the time periods for when the invoicing is to be generated and when the budgets are to be processed through to the accounts.
Enables the creation of the lease element which is an individual constituent part of a lease and is to be included within the Lease Definition.
Although some of its functionality is now superceded by functionality with the Fleet Quotations module the Product Details remains an extremely important record within the Fleet System Management module. The Product Details , in conjunction with VAT Assumptions , enables the definition of how rentals, profit, other costs and excess/under mileage charges are split between the finance and maintenance elements of the rental.
Defines a VAT assumption code and description that is then allocated against a particular rental split element to inform all concerned to what split of the rental it relates.
Located beneath and to the right of the Broadcast Box, is a selection of Command Buttons

Exits the current form and returns to the previous form or menu

Individual users may be given different permissions so that they have access to selected options only.
This box displays the default printer and also provides a Change Command Button that displays a list of alternative printers from which to select.
There are a number of ways to move around the various areas of the system and enter data. A Form Navigation help file is available to assist in this task.
