Joining Diary Groups

Note: Diary groups, as distinct from email groups, are for diary purposes only.

A diary group could be, for example, payroll or accounts. You can join and leave diary groups as required.

To display a group member's diary:

  1. On the Autoline master menu or other main menu, click the Administrator button.

    The Administrator form is displayed.

  2. On the Diary tab, click the Groups... button.

    The Group Management form is displayed.

  3. Select the group to view.

    Tip: Use the Group text field and its associated Ellipsis button [...] to search for a group

    The grid lists group members, one per line, and the first entry in their diary for the date concerned.

  4. Select a line.

    A dialog box displays the day's diary entries of the group member whose line you clicked on and whose name is in the dialog box window's title bar.

Group Management Form

This is displayed when you click the Groups... button on the Administrator Diary tab.

Group: Click the Ellipsis button [...] to display the Group list menu, on which you can select a diary group. The grid then displays group members, one per line, and the first entry in their diary for the date concerned.

GRID COLUMNS:

Note: The date of the entries in the grid is displayed above the grid.

Delegate: Group member's user ID

Diary entries: The first entry in the group member's diary for the date displayed above the grid

Buttons:

< Previous: The grid lists entries for the previous day

Next >: The grid lists entries for the next day

Goto...: Displays a Date Input dialog box, enabling you to select a specific date for the grid to display

Tip: After you click the Goto... button, click the Date Input dialog box's Ellipsis button [...] to display an electronic calendar. Double-click a date to close the calendar and enter that date into the Date Input dialog box's Date field, then click the Date Input dialog box's OK button.

Home: The grid lists entries for today's system date

Grid: The grid is replaced by a denser grid, using different colours to indicate time free for booking meetings, times booked and times of unconfirmed bookings. When in this display, the Grid button is replaced by a Text button. Click the Text button to return to the original display.

Print: Prints, with no further dialog, the Group Management form
