This is displayed when you create, edit, or view a diary appointment on the Administrator Diary tab. It is also displayed when you click the Make appointment... button while organising a meeting.
Date: The day the appointment is due
When: A menu of (start amd finish) time categories:
- Specific time: Indicates the appointment's start and end, respectively
- All morning: Automatically filled in with 0900 and 1300, respectively
- All afternoon: Automatically filled in with 1400 and 1800, respectively
- All evening: Automatically filled in with 1900 and 2300, respectively
- All day: Automatically filled in with 0900 and 1800, respectively
- Full day: Automatically filled in with 0000 and 2359, respectively
- Lunch time: Automatically filled in with 1300 and 1400, respectively
- Reminder only: Automatically filled in with 0900 and blank, respectively
Time (two fields; start and finish): When, during the day, the appointment applies. Depending on the option selected in the When field, one, both, or neither of the Time fields may be predetermined.
Reason: A single character than can represent anything you like. You may find it useful for categorizing appointments.

Confidential: A menu of options dictating the access permission level needed by another diary user to see the appointment:
- No: The appointment is visible by all users
- Yes: The appointment is visible by you and members of your diary group. However, when a user outside your diary group views your diary, they see only its Time fields and the text 'Private appointment'
- Strictly: When any user other than you views your diary, they see only its Time fields and the text 'Private appointment'

Block booking: Indicates that the appointment recurs. Also the associated untitled menu box becomes active. This check box is enabled only when creating an appointment.
Untitled menu box: The period of recurrence; Every day, Every working day, Every week, Every month, or Every month (working days). Enabled only when the Block booking check box is ticked.
For (days/weeks/months): The number of occurrences, after which the recurring appointment expires. Enabled only when the Block booking check box is ticked.
And (days per month): The number of days per month that the monthly recurring appointment applies. Displayed only when Every month (working days) is selected in the block booking menu box.
Note: There are three new types of diary entry:
An appointment for the same date in every month for a specified number of months
An appointment for the same date of every month for a specified number of months, but the nearest working day (before if the date is on a weekend or holiday)
An appointment for the same number of working days in to the month for a specified number of months, excluding weekends and public holidays.
Author: The login of the appointment's originator
Confirmed: Indicates that the appointment is confirmed. This check box is only relevant when someone other than the diary's owner created the appointment, in which case the owner may confirm his/her intention to attend. See confirming a diary appointment made by another user.
Buttons:
Save: Stores a newly created or amended appointment in the diary. See creating a new diary appointment and amending a diary appointment.
Confirm: See confirming a diary appointment made by another user. Enabled only when the appointment has been made by someone other than the diary's owner.
Delete: See deleting a diary appointment
