This topic explains the concept of Asset Class, and describes how you may use the Classifications option to create, amend, display and delete Asset Classes on the Register.An example of a classification would be "COMPUTERS."
As outlined in Asset Classes and Records and explained in detail in Asset Records of this on-line help, each of the company's assets has a corresponding Asset Record on the Asset Register. Stored on the Record is all the relevant information about the asset. As the various programs such as Enter audit details, Asset movement and Depreciation are run, the Asset Record will be updated in the light of the new details.
To access Asset Classes:
From the Autoline Master menu, select the Asset register option and the company you require.
Select the Asset Classifications option.
The Asset Classifications form is displayed.
