Agreement Defaults Form

The Agreement defaults form is displayed when the Agreement defaults option is selected from the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.

The screen will display the first of many Agreement screens. Each screen will display a set of fields which hold the data for the agreement record. It is up to the user to locate the field required and update it with the default value required.

Note: Users must note that the values entered are not validated, also that the changes, once made, will automatically be saved back onto the file.

When an agreement is created, some of the fields contained on the Bookings screens will already have values in them when they are first seen. These values, or defaults, are set up from within this option. A good example of a default field value would be the Location code. This is particularly important where only one location is ever used on bookings. Make sure that the two location fields are set with a default value equal to the location code required and you will not have to enter it on to the booking each time one is raised. If more than one location is being used it is equally important to leave it blank, in this way the location code of you will be defaulted into the from and to location boxes. This location is found in the users personal details in the system utilities menu.

Once selected, the screen will display a set of fields which hold the data for the agreement record. It is up to you to locate the field required and update it with the default value required.

Users must note that the values entered are not validated, also that the changes, once made, will automatically be saved back onto the file.

Note: Any changes made to the agreement default are automatically saved following the ring menu Exit selection. Please make sure that if changes are made, they are made with careful thought. This is also a Text only operation.

The ring menu will optionally display the following.

Edit-page: This will take the cursor into the top field on the page currently displayed and allow input of a value. Users should either type in a value in the first field, or press <RETURN> pass through it and proceed to the next field on the screen. Use the 'Return' field to position the cursor at the desired field.

Note: The values typed in this screen are not validated. Therefore please take care when entering the field values.

Continue to key <RETURN> to complete the screen, or use SHIFT and TAB or ESCAPE to return to the ring menu at the bottom of the screen.

Next-Page: This will take the user to the next screen to display more agreement fields.

Previous-Page: This will take the user to the previous screen.

Search-field: Selection of this option will cause a small window to appear asking for input of a field name. There is no ? to search facility available on this screen, users must know the correct field name. If a valid field name is typed in, the screen display will go to the correct page number and the cursor will appear in the field selected. This can then be edited in the normal manner.

Exit: This will return the user to the System maintenance menu.

Note: Any changes made to the agreement default are automatically saved following the ring menu Exit selection. Please make sure that if changes are made, they are made with careful thought.
