eCat Daemon Parameters

This is normally set up as a Priority 6 option. The basic connection information for the daemon can be set here, as well as the labour franchise and labour rate code for each Point-of-Sale (POS) company. Parameters are identified by the company number.

The values for the communication ports are: 7070 for the socket port and a default of 8080 for the browser port.

To set up parameters:

  1. From the FORD OPERATIONS Menu, select the eCat menu option.

  2. The eCat Menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Parameter option.

    The eCat parameter form is displayed.

  4. Complete the parameters as follows:

This form is accessed when you select the eCat menu option from the FORD OPERATIONS Menu, then select Parameter. It enables you to set up eCat parameters.

Company number (COMPANY): Point-of-Sale company

Labour franchise (LABFRAN): Single-letter franchise code

Labour rate code (LABRATE): Labour rate code that is taken if SALES LEDGER account labour rate is not available

Note: The labour franchise code and the labour rate code are default settings, only used when not supplied by account or vehicle information.

Socket port (PORT): Port on which the eCat daemon listens. Standard is 7070

Browser port (BPORT): Port for the outgoing connection. Is 8080 by default

Browser IP address (BADDRESS): Internet Protocol address of the eCat server
