This is normally set up as a Priority 6 option. It allows you to access the Ford eCat daemon in order to stop or start it manually and to view and print the log file of daemon activities. You can also view information on users that have opened the DMS-to-eCat interface.
To access the Ford eCAT Administrator:
From the FORD OPERATIONS Menu, select the eCat menu option.
The eCat menu is displayed.
Select Administration.
The Ford eCAT Administrator Form is displayed.
This form is accessed by selecting the eCat menu option from the FORD OPERATIONS Menu, then selecting Administration. It allows you to view information on users that have opened the DMS-to-eCat interface. You can also access the Ford eCat daemon in order to stop or start it manually and to view and print the log file of daemon responses, error messages, and so on.
Note: The eCat daemon is normally only available to Priority 8 and 9 users.

Ford eCat daemon
Status: Status of the daemon (Running or Not Running)
GRID:
The following information is displayed in the grid, for the current POS session.
Note: This is displayed while the Ford eCAT Form is open.
POS company: Point-of-Sale company
Terminal: Terminal number allocated to the Autoline user on log-in
User ID: The Autoline user's id. (Id of the person using the eCat session)
User name: The Autoline user's name
POS Operator: Point-of-Sale operator
Client PC name: The actual name identifying the client's personal computer
eCat Session ID: This will be identical to the Point-of-Sale operator.
PUSH BUTTONS:
Daemon: Clicking this button displays the Ford eCat daemon form. Gives you access to the daemon in order to stop or start it manually and to view and print the log of daemon activities, responses, errors, and so on.
Log file: Clicking this button displays the Ford eCAT Daemon Logfile form containing the daemon session log. This shows the requests and exchanges between eCat and Autoline, which can be printed.
