Visit repair types are related to the Repair record types that the system prompts you for when you invoice a warranty job in POS. In the event that Visit repair types are introduced by Ford or changes are made, you must carry out maintenance of these records on the Autoline system. There are currently only two Visit repair types (R1 and R2).
When a Repair record type is selected in POS, the corresponding Visit repair type is automatically recorded on Visit details page of a claim, in the Record type field. For example, if Repair record type 01 Warranty/ESP/Programs is selected in POS as the category for a warranty job, a visit repair type of R1 is entered as the Record type on the Visit details page. If 06 Freight is chosen in POS, a record type of R2 is used.
Standard functionality exists to create a new Visit repair type, or to amend or delete existing repair types.
