Environment System Parameters

Overview

The System Parameters set-up screen is used to define top-level system defaults for the module.

What do you want to do?

To access the System Parameters form:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Environment option and Company required.

    The Fleet Environment menu is displayed.

  2. Select the System Maintenance option.

    The System Maintenance menu is displayed.

  3. Select the System Parameters option.

The screen is split into four areas which are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Company Identifier: Displays the company number for the company that is currently being accessed e.g. 00. This option may only be edited within Company Zero.

System Parameters Dialogue Box

This area is divided into a series of 4 Tabs, each containing a number of default values applicable to a certain area. These tabs are as follows:

Details Tab: Used to define general top-level system defaults within the fleet environment module for controlling the basic customisation of the fleet system.

Descriptions Tab: Used to define top-level system defaults specifically for the user to enter alternative text labels to use throughout the fleet system to represent the types of contracts as well as the various states a vehicle will pass through (shown as first Status field on fleet agreement review).

Environment Tab: Used to define top-level system defaults specifically to allow further descriptions to be allocated to contracts at specific statuses as follows (shown as second Status field on fleet agreement review).

COMMAND BUTTONS:

Exit: Returns to the System Maintenance menu.

Help: Provides online access to context sensitive help for the current application using the default browser.

Save: Saves the new values for the system parameters.

Cancel: Cancels the amendment process and returns to the System Maintenance menu.
