Displaying the Check File

The Display check file program allows you to display information found in the Stock Check file (SC.check).

To display the check file:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Stock checking option and the Company you require.

    You are prompted for the stock location.

  2. Select the Stock Location.

    The STOCK CHECKING menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Display check file option.

    The Stock Check File form is displayed.

  4. Enter the Part number and press the TAB key.

The Stock Check File form is displayed when the Display check file option is selected from the STOCK CHECKING menu.

Location: Location selected on entry to the Stock Checking module

Part number: Part number for which you want to view the stock check information

Tip: Click the Part number Ellipsis button [...] to view/select from a list of all available part numbers.


Details Tab

The Details tab displays information that relates to the Location and Part number entered in the form header.

Note: The fields on the Details tab cannot be amended.

Classification: This is used with the PPI system and is the class into which the part falls. For example, fast, slow, medium moving. The description relating to this field is displayed alongside the field.

Bin location: The location name where the part is stored. This is loaded from the stock record in the Stock Management module.

Supplier: The default supplier again from the stock record. This can be used to break down the parts when using the Input stock count program. The full name of the supplier is displayed alongside the field.

Frozen quantity: Quantity in stock for the location when the part was frozen.

Counted quantity: The quantity counted for this part. This value is set to zero when the stock is frozen. This can be changed by entering a value in the Input stock count program.

Page number: Page number on the check list on which the part is found.

Line number: Line number on the check list on which the part is found.

Average cost: Average cost of the part when it was frozen. This can be very useful when developing reports.

Surcharge: Surcharge amount for the part at the time it was frozen. Again this can be very useful when developing reports.

Number of counts: Each time the counted quantity entered via the Input stock count program is amended, this value is increased. Thus it is a counter for the number of times the part has been counted.

Status: Status of the check line. This changes as the various options are selected. The final value is shown when the line has been updated, and it is set to U.

Date generated: Date when the check list was generated.

Time generated: Time when the check list was generated.

Re-freeze date: Date of the last re-freeze of the check list.

Re-freeze time: Time of the last re-freeze of the check list.
