FSA Product Definition

Product definitions must be created for each set of system parameters before FSA compliance can be used. These are used in the recommendation reasons to form part of the Demands and Needs survey.

Product Description

Sequence: The unique sequence based on the selected module and company.

Product: Displays the product based on the selected module and company.

Description: Description based on the above selection.

DOC: Mandatory for DOC? Do all the questions linked to this product have to be answered before a Duty of Care can be printed? Yes or No.

Module: The module is supplied by default, depending on entry from either the Aftersales or Vehicles menus selected from the UNITED KINGDOM MAIN MENU in Country specifics.

Company: Company number of the product, for example 01 or <All> for all companies.

Note: The product DNACC is always a highlighted line by default, and is the first product when the Product table is created. It has a sequence of 1 as it is the start of a Demands and Needs survey and cannot be deleted. When new products are created it is important to create the first product as sequence 1 also.

Add, Edit, Copy or Delete

To Add, Edit, Copy or Delete a product, either select the relevant task from the Data menu or right-click the Product description header.

Product code: Describes the product. For example GAP for GAP insurance.

Module: The module is supplied by defaulted, depending on entry from either the Aftersales or Vehicles menus selected from the UNITED KINGDOM MAIN MENU in Country specifics.

Company: Company number of the product, for example 01 or <All> for all companies.

Description: Description based on the above selection.

Mandatory for DOC?: Mandatory for DOC? Do all the questions linked to this product have to be answered before a Duty of Care can be printed? Yes or No.

Survey sequence no: The unique sequence number of the product in the survey.

Note: For example, sequence 1 will be the first product displayed in the Demands and Needs survey. The product is then added into a question with its own unique sequence. If the question is the first in its sequence then that question will be the first question in the survey.

Tip: Because of the key path structure of the Products table, it is not possible to have duplicate entries. Each entry has to be unique. If you are trying to save an entry that is not unique, a warning message is displayed.
