Prevent/allow Access Form

The Prevent/allow access form is displayed when the prevent/allow access option is selected from the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.

Once the Prevent/allow Access form has been displayed, the following fields are featured on the form:

The Prevent/allow access form displays the Terminal Number, the Location, the User ID and the Access mode. The Access column will always show an I, indicating that these are Internal Users.

Note: If a terminal has been incorrectly logged off the Asset Register, and not yet logged back on to the system, then the word ILLEGAL is shown in the User ID column.

CHECKBOX

Status: Either a "tick" symbol or leave blank for the following options.

Prevent access: Select this option [by ticking the checkbox] to prevent users who are permitted to log-on to the Access Register from being able to do so. Typically, you would select this option prior to running a 'stand-alone' program; that is, one which may be run only when no other person is logged-on to the Register.

Allow access: Select this option [by unticking the checkbox] to allow all users who are permitted access to the Asset Register to do so. Typically, you would take this option after you had selected the Prevent/allow access option successfully completed the stand-alone program.

Access must be allowed again from the terminal on which the Prevent/allow access option was originally run.

BUTTONS

Exit: Returns you to the System maintenance menu.

Help: Allows you to access the on-line help facility.

Display Users: Displays all users currently logged into the Purchase Ledger module.

Clear Illegal Users: Select this button to erase any spurious data resulting from illegal log-offs; for example, log-offs which resulted from a system crash or re-boot. Clears all users that are are illegally logged into Autoline . This will include users that may have not logged out properly or users that have had a problem with their PC.
