Fleet Spread

The Fleet Spread form allows you to maintain a record of the vehicles a company owns and how many of a particular vehicle they still require.

The option to view the fleet spread form resides on the company record with in the company options menu. Once selected the Fleet Spread form is opened.

The form is not automatically updated from any where so relies on users updating the information held as the company purchases new vehicles and sells vehicles from their existing fleet. The form is a single tab form where the data is presented in a table format.

The Fleet Spread Form

At the top of the form there are two fields which display the company record number and name. Beneath that is the table displaying existing records that have been created the information is in seven columns. These are:-

Push buttons

There four push buttons on the form the table below explains what they are and their use.

Button Function
Create New This button is only enabled if you have opened the fleet spread form with the company record in edit mode. If it is selected the fleet spread line edit form is opened and the fields in it will be blank but edit able allowing you to populate them as required.
Cancel This button takes you back to the company record.
OK The OK button again is only enabled when you have opened the fleet spread form when the company record is in edit mode. When selected any changes made while in the form will be saved.
Help This button launches the help file.
Other Form functions

There is other functionality available on the form which are not related to any buttons.

The options are available by right clicking on the displayed lines in the grid. The options offered will change depending on whether the company record loaded is in edit mode or not.

If the company record is in display only mode when the fleet spread form is loaded the following option is offered:-

View: this option allows you to view the line details in the fleet spread line edit form. You will not be able to make any amendments to it.

If the company record is in edit mode when the fleet spread form is loaded the following options are offered:-

Edit: The edit option opens the fleet spread line edit form in edit mode to allow you to change the details for the selected line.

Create New: This button is only enabled if you have opened the fleet spread form with the company record in edit mode. If it is selected the fleet spread line edit form is opened and the fields in it will be blank but edit able allowing you to populate them as required.

Delete: The delete option allows you to remove the selected line from the grid. When the delete option is taken the line will be grayed out and removed completely when the OK button is pressed.

The fleet spread line edit form

The fleet spread line edit form contains the same fields as the grid but the fields are expanded. The form also allows any amendments to be made or new lines to be created when the appropriate options are taken from the buttons or the right click options from the grid. There are two buttons on this form which are:-
