File Path Form

This form's title and use depends on the context:

It enables you to set the path to:

Note: Exact group box and field names depend on which variant of the form you are using.

[Autoline/PC/Remote] file path:

(...) File Path: Folder path for the file used in the transfer

Tip: Type the path or use the buttons to build it automatically.

Auto settings PUSH BUTTONS:

Xfer directory: Sets the path to the standard MS transfer folder by populating File Path with ^XFR, which is the short code for the MS transfer directory, for example /user1/fran/.../data/xfer.

Workspace directory: Sets the path to the workspace folder by populating File Path with ^ENV(WORKSPACE), which is the short code for the standard workspace directory, for example /user1/work.

Browse...: Enables you to set the path by browsing the Autoline system (or the PC for an API copy)

Parameter...: Enables you to add a parameter to the folder path you are building by selecting one from the dictionary structures

Floppy disk usage:

Note: This group is for API copy on the remote path and it is available only if the file path begins with A:\ or A:/

Enable multi-disk utilities: A tick enables use of multiple floppy disk drives

Tip: Press the TAB key to move the text cursor out of the PC file path box to enable selection of Enable multi-disk utilities.

Floppy disk usage PUSH BUTTONS:

Multi-disk options...: Enables you to specify how the file is split over more than one floppy disk

Note: This button is enabled by ticking Enable multi-disk utilities.

Path validation:

Contains an expansion of any short elements in the File Path when you last clicked Validate

PUSH BUTTONS:

Save: Stores your selections in the file transfer record, returning you to the form (and tab, where applicable) from which you displayed the form

Cancel: Returns you to the form (and tab, where applicable) from which you displayed the form

Help: Displays this help page in a web browser

Validate: Displays in the Path validation field the expansion of any short elements from the File Path, showing how the path appears at run time.

Note: Clicking Validate does not check parameters for validity. However, a dealer code parameter would be displayed as <DEALER>
