Email and SMS Settings

In the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench interface, you can send messages to customers directly via email and SMS. You can set up a template for both SMS messages and Emails.

Email & SMS Settings Form

This form is displayed when you select Tools > Email and SMS on the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Administrator form. It enables you to set up a template for SMS messages and Emails.

Message templates:

Select either the SMS or the Email option button depending on which template you want to edit, and click Edit. In both cases a Message Properties form is displayed.

Type the text of your message into the box. To insert the customer's name, registration number, quote total, Point-of-Sale operator name or Point-of-Sale company name (as set in SO.dir) into the message, click the appropriate button. When you have finished, click OK to save your changes.

Tip: For SMS templates, it is best to keep the number of characters down to a minimum.

The text in curly brackets is replaced as appropriate at runtime. To send a message, on the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench form click either Email to display the Email form or SMS to display the SMS Customer form.
