Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench

The Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench enables you to add menus, parts and labour from installed Vauxhall Aftersales products such as Menu Pricing, TIS and EPC.

To launch the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench in Point-of-Sale:

  1. From the Point-of-Sale form, select GM Vauxhall from the franchise drop-down list and select Menus from the New product drop-down list.

    The Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench form is displayed.

Shortcuts sidebar:

Note: The Shortcuts sidebar is dynamic, so only installed products are displayed on it. Which icons are present depends on the configuration of your system.

Tabs:

Buttons:

Help: Displays this help topic in your default browser.

Support: Displays a context menu relating to support options. The button is displayed only if you are logged on as a Support user.

Sale: Displays stock special sale prices where applicable.

Email: Displays the e-mail form, enabling you to e-mail a quote to a customer.

SMS: Displays the SMS customer form, enabling you to send a quote to a customer via text messaging. This is available only where customers have SMS support in Autoline.

Note: The email and SMS forms use the template set up with the Email & SMS Settings Form.

Cancel: Returns you to Point-of-Sale without loading any items onto the WIP.

OK: Returns you to Point-of-Sale with items loaded onto the WIP.

Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench Tab

Customer and vehicle summary:

Customer: Name of the currently selected customer.

Vehicle: Make and model of the currently selected vehicle.

Note: You can view the associated CRM record by clicking the ellipsis button at the end of the customer and vehicle fields. If no CRM record is associated, these buttons are unavailable.

Registration: Registration number of the currently selected vehicle.

Registration date: Registration date of the currently selected vehicle.

Warranty expires: Date of warranty expiry of the currently selected vehicle.

Next MOT: Date of next MOT for the currently selected vehicle.

Next service: Date of next service for the currently selected vehicle.

Toolbar buttons:

Expand.gif Expands all menus.
Collapse.gif Collapses all menus.
Open.gif Opens a saved quote.
Delete.gif Deletes all items in the Vauxhall Aftersales Workbench.
MicrosoftCalc.gif Launches Windows calculator.

Grid:

The grid shows items that are ready to be loaded onto the WIP. You can expand or collapse the menu by clicking the plus and minus buttons in the Type column. Right-clicking any item displays a context menu of options relating to the selected item.

Note: If an item is shown in red, there is no stock available for it.

Type: Either a document (indicated by a page symbol), a collapsed menu (indicated by a plus symbol) or an expanded menu (indicated by a minus symbol). Menu items are either items of work (indicated by a clock symbol), a part (indicated by a plug symbol) or a quantity of fluid (indicated by an oil can symbol).

Code: Code reference for the item or menu.

Description: Describes the item or menu.

Doc: Click the paper-clip icon to launch GM TIS2WEB and display the appropriate checksheet.

Note: To use this feature you must have GM TIS2WEB installed on a server or on your PC.

Qty: Amount of time or quantity of parts for the item.

Unit price: Unit price for the item.

Discount%: Percentage discount for the item.

Nett: Total price for the item without VAT.

Total (incl. VAT): Total price for the item with VAT.

Grid right-click menu:

Note: The options listed in the right-click menu vary depending on whether you right-click a menu, a part or fluid or an item of work.

Move to menu: Moves the currently selected item to the menu of your choice.

Attach items: Enables you to attach items to the currently selected menu.

View stock card: Displays a stock card for the item.

Amend: Enables you to amend the details of the currently selected menu.

Delete: Enables you to delete the currently selected item.

Warning: The delete operation cannot be undone.

Copy: Copies the following to the clipboard:

Prices: Enables you to select from Retail price and any promotional prices that may be available for a menu.

Fixed price: Ticked if the Fixed price check box has been selected for this menu on the Menu Details form.

VAT inclusive: Ticked if the VAT inclusive check box has been selected for this menu on the Menu Details form.

Show VAT inclusive prices: Selecting and unselecting this checkbox turns the display of the Total (incl. VAT) column on and off.

Show parts and labour totals in the expanded menu view: Selecting and unselecting this checkbox turns the display of parts and labour totals in the expanded menu view on and off.

Today Tab

Grid:

Category: Item category.

Number of jobs: Number of jobs for the category.

Total: Total value of the sales for the category.

Saved Quotes Tab

Find: Text to help find a quote when the Find button is clicked.

Grid:

Date: Date when this quote was saved.

Customer name: Customer for this quote.

Vehicle: Vehicle for this quote.

WIP number: WIP number for this quote.

Quote: Total amount of the quote.

Saved Quotes Tab Buttons:

Note: These buttons become available when a quote is selected.

Open: Open.gif Opens a list of previously saved items.

Delete: Delete.gif Deletes the selected quote.
