See also: Light Validation.
Autoline normally validates the content of a claim against rules dictated by the parts supplier. The claim content fails validation if, for example: there is no vehicle attached to the WIP; if any lines have missing or incomplete W-codes; if the vehicle chassis number is blank. Autoline only creates a claim record when all tasks in the claim pass validation.
Different validation criteria apply to different stages and in different parts of Autoline.
This form is displayed when a claim record fails validation. That can happen in the following circumstances:
When you right-click a line in the grid on the Claim summary form and select the Validate option from the shortcut menu, or you select the Tools > Validate option from its menu bar (if applicable)
When you select Tools > Validate or File > Save from the menu bar of the Claims form in manufacturer systems
When you attempt to untick the Held check-box of a claim line in the Submissions form
When you attempt to print an invoice in Point of Sale
When you click Create, or Save, if creating or amending mapping details
GRID:
Each line represents a validation test that the WIP failed. Make a note of each one; close the form, and add any missing information, or correct it, before trying again.
