Product Mapping

Note: This help system contains standard information, some of which might not apply to your franchise. Click the Help button on the relevant forms or menus to see any existing help file specific to your Autoline configuration for that form or menu. Alternatively, a help file may exist in the Warranty Table of Contents specific to your manufacturer.

It is mandatory for some manufacturers to identify certain types of parts on a claim (for example: lubricants or tyres). The Product mapping files are set up to identify certain part numbers and to generate this information automatically in the claim. Standard functionality allows you to maintain the product mapping files.

Tip: It is unlikely that you will ever need to make changes to the product mapping files unless advised to do so by the manufacturer. You can create, amend or delete records in the product mapping files. However, any changes that you make will be overwritten the next time you are updated.

To access the Product mapping file:

  1. From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Claims menu option.

    The CLAIMS MENU is displayed.

  2. Select the Product mapping option.

The Product mapping form is displayed.

Product Mapping Form

Your product mapping form might no longer be a table. It might also include a Product types tab and a right-click, shortcut menu that displays the Mapping Details form.

The Product mapping form is displayed when you select the Product mapping option from the CLAIMS MENU. It lets you create, and maintain, product mapping files.

The following details are displayed for each record:
