When a claim is created that contains non-franchise product types (for example: lubricants or tyres), the payee requires a categorization of these parts. The coding structure is usually defined by the manufacturer. Standard functionality allows you to maintain types of non-franchise parts.
It is unlikely that you will ever need to make changes to the non-franchise product types file unless advised to do so by the manufacturer. You can create, amend, or delete, records on the non-franchise parts types file. However, any changes that you make will be overwritten the next time you are updated.
To access the non-franchise product types file:
The CLAIMS MENU is displayed.
The Non-franchise product types form is displayed.
The Non-franchise product types form is displayed when you select the Non-Franchise Product Types option from the CLAIMS MENU. Via this form, you can create and maintain types of non-franchise parts.

Code: The non-franchise product type code.
Description: A description of the non-franchise product type.
