Searching for Menu Codes

This facility enables you to select more than one menu code at a time for loading onto a WIP.

You can search for menu codes either:

The codes are set up, and maintained, via the Menu prices form.

Note: If you conduct the search via the Menu prices form, the code details are displayed in the Main Detail tab of that form.

Loading Multiple Menu Codes

To search for a menu code for a WIP in Point-of-Sale:

  1. Click the Customer details ellipsis [...] in the Customer group box on the Point of Sale form, then load the Customer details.

    The Point-of-Sale form is populated with the Customer details from CRM.

  2. Select 00 Global data from the drop-down Drop-down on the Point-of-Sale Form, then click the New product ellipsis > Menus.

    The Menu Codes form is displayed.

  3. Select the Show selections check box.

    (This displays your codes in the Selected Menu codes grid when you select the codes from the Available Menu codes grid.)

  4. Click Word search, or Short name, to search for a menu code.

    The Available Menu codes grid is populated with: the Menu code; Short name; Description; Model group, and a Selected indicator.

  5. Double-click a line in the grid.

    If you selected the Show selections check box, the selected menu code is displayed in the Selected Menu codes grid. A tick is displayed in the Selected cell of the Available Menu codes grid for that line.

    Note: You can de-select the menu code by double-clicking the line again in either grid.

  6. When you are happy with your selections, tab to enable the OK button, then click OK.

    The menu code is loaded to the WIP.

Menu Codes Form

This form is displayed when you select 00 Global data from the drop-down Drop-down on the Point-of-Sale Form, then click the New product ellipsis > Menus. It enables you to search for available menu codes when loading menus to a WIP.

Note: Menu codes are set up, and maintained, via the Menu pricing option on the ADP Standard Operations Menu, using the standard editors. This means the Menu Codes form can also be accessed via Standard Operations.

Show selections: If selected, this check box displays selected menu codes in the Selected Menu codes grid when you select from the Available Menu codes grid.

Buttons:

Short name: If clicked, locates an available menu code via its short name.

Word search: If clicked, locates an available menu code via a word search.

Available Menu codes grid:

Menu code: Unique name for specific menu code - for example, a code name of BABY for Babyseat; or a numeric code.

Short name: Short name that can be used to locate a menu code.

Description: For example, Fit baby seat.

Model group: Relates to the model group file displayed when you select the Vehicle models option on the ADP Standard Operations menu.

Selected: Whether or not a particular menu code has been selected. If you selected the code, this cell is ticked.

Selected Menu codes grid:

Menu code: As per the Available Menu codes grid.

Description: As per the Available Menu codes grid.
