The system allows you to apply a discount or fixed price to a menu. When you apply a discount or fixed price, the system automatically removes any discounts applied to parts or labour, and only gives you a Fixed-load option to load the menu onto the WIP.
Note: You only have the option to discount or apply a fixed price to the menu if the discount limits are set up for your user priority on the Discounting tab of the parameters.
To apply a discount or fixed price to a menu:
Display the Pricing tab on the Service Menu Pricing Negotiation form.
Click the Discount button.
The Menu Price Discount Form is displayed.
Do one of the following:
To discount the menu price, enter the discount percentage in the Discount field and press the TAB key.
To set a fixed menu price, enter the new price in the Menu field and press the TAB key.
Click OK.
When you select a menu in POS, the system uses as a default the menu discount created via the Price maintenance option or the Prices tab on the Menu pricing maintenance form in Manufacturer Systems. (The discount is held in the Discount field within the Pricing group box of the Price Form.)
The amount of discount that you can apply to menus in POS is determined by the Discount limits set on the Discounting tab of the parameters against Menus. For example, you can override the default menu discount rate if the maximum discounts entered in the parameters are higher for your priority. However, if the discount entered via the Price maintenance option or the Prices tab is higher, the system uses this instead.
The Menu Price Discount Form is displayed when you click the Discount button on the Pricing tab of the Service Menu Pricing Negotiation form. Within this form you can apply a discount or fixed price to the menu.

Discount: The discount currently applied to the menu. To apply a discount to the menu price, enter the discount percentage and press the TAB key.
Menu: The current menu price. To set a fixed menu price, enter the new menu price and press the TAB key.
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Applies any changes to the menu price.
Cancel: Cancels the operation.
Reset: Removes any discounts that you have applied and resets to the original menu price.
