Account Exclusions

SADE sends invoices from all accounts unless you exclude accounts that you do not want sent, including internal accounts and journal accounts. The account exclusions list is manually maintained and holds a list of all excluded Sales Ledger accounts. You can modify the list by adding or deleting accounts or account types.

To manage account exclusions:

  1. From the General Motors Group Operations Menu select the SADE extract option followed by the Point-of-Sale company you require.

    The General Motors Group SADE form is displayed.

  2. From the View menu select either Programmes table, Brand list, Employee mapping table or Parameters, or click the button on the toolbar corresponding to one of those options.

    The SADE Parameters & Controls form is displayed with the Programmes, Brand List, Employees or Company Parameters tab available.

  3. In the Parameter navigation group box, click the name of the company whose account exclusions you want to manage.

    The Account Exclusions tab is displayed.

Excluded accounts:

Account: Number of account excluded from the SADE extract.

Description: Name of the account.

Acct type: One of the following account types:

Grid right-click menu:

Add account: Enables you to add an account to the exclusions list.

Delete account: Enables you to delete the selected account from the exclusions list.

Excluded account types:

Account exclusions: Modifiable list of account types excluded from the SADE extract.

Modifying the List of Excluded Accounts

To add an account to the list:

Note: You do not have to add an account to the exclusions list if its account type is listed in the Account exclusions field.

  1. Right-click anywhere in the Excluded accounts grid and select Add account from the drop-down menu.

    The Add Account to Exclusion List form is displayed.

  2. Enter the account number to be added, or click the Ellipsis button to search for an account, then press TAB.

    The OK button becomes available.

  3. Click OK.

    The account is added to the exclusions list.

To remove an account from the list:

  1. Select the account you want to remove, right-click it and select Delete account from the drop-down menu.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  2. Click Delete.

    The account is removed from the exclusions list.

Modifying the List of Excluded Account Types

To add an account type to the list:

  1. Click the Ellipsis button next to the Account exclusions field.

    The SADE Sales Ledger Account Type Exclusions form is displayed.

  2. Select the account type you want to add.

    A tick appears in the account type's Excluded field.

  3. Click OK.

    The SADE Sales Ledger Account Type Exclusions form is closed and the account type is added to the Account exclusions field.

To remove an account type from the list:

  1. Click the Ellipsis button next to the Account exclusions field.

    The SADE Sales Ledger Account Type Exclusions form is displayed.

  2. Select the account type you want to remove.

    The tick is removed from the account type's Excluded field.

  3. Click OK.

    The SADE Sales Ledger Account Type Exclusions form is closed and the account type is removed from the Account exclusions field.

This form is displayed when you click the Ellipsis button next to the Account exclusions field in the Excluded account types group box.

Note: The standard credit sales account type is not listed because it cannot be blocked.

Account type: Alpha character identifying an account type.

Description: Name of the account type.

Excluded: A tick in this column indicates that all sales and credits on the corresponding account type will be excluded from SADE extracts.

Button:

OK: Returns you to the SADE Parameters & Controls form Account Exclusions tab with the Account exclusions field updated.
