Table Validation

This option shows you whether there are any errors in the tables, and what tables have been created and opened successfully. The form is displayed on first entry into the interface and whenever error messages or information messages are to be displayed to you. It validates the data files for the program after the company has been selected. If missing, the files are created.

To access the GM Exchange Interface form:

  1. From the GENERAL MOTORS OPERATIONS Menu, select Exchange 1.1.

    The Point-of-Sale Company selection form is displayed.

  2. Select the (Aftersales) Point-of-Sale Company required.

    The GM Exchange Interface form is displayed. This validates the data files for the program, and, if these are missing, they are created.

    The following message is displayed:

    Exchange Notification: Please review the following information. If any errors were detected, clicking OK will return you to the previous menu.

    The grid displays a log of files created and opened successfully, along with any errors that were encountered.

Table: Table to be checked

Check: Actions to be carried out by users - for example: check that parameters are correct

Event: Action or selection that gave rise to the logged record

Detail: Details of files created and opened successfully, or otherwise. System's response to an action or selection, such as error messages
