Uploading a Data File via ISDN

If you receive price file, supersession or labour code data from the Data & Software Integration (DASI) department at ADP Dealer Services UK Ltd via Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), you normally receive an e-mail advising that the data has been sent. When you receive this notification, you must update the Autoline system.

The notification contains instructions on how to perform the update. Vauxhall dealers are currently required to upload the price file via ISDN, and then run a franchise-specific report to update the parts stock file with the updated price details, including trade club. The report has a defintion of GMT, and is titled G.M.- Price Update inc T/Club. This report is used because the set-up for trade club varies in the stock file and POS discount structure, and the standard Update stock from price file op tion does not perform any updates for trade club. You can modify the report as required.

There are two ways of uploading a data file via ISDN. You can upload price or supersession files via the Load new pricefile (ISDN) option on the MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU. Alternatively, you can upload price, supersession or labour code files via the Load new files (ISDN) option on the General utilities >System maintenance menu.

Note: If your manufacturer does not supply a supersession file, you can build a supersession chain if superseding part numbers are stored on your price file.
