The GM RIM form (for generating sales data extracts) enables you to create a parts sales history extract manually, for transmission to GM.
Note: Parts sales history extracts are generated automatically. Therefore, you would use this procedure only at the request of GM or Autoline Support.
An extract might be prevented from being created if the order acknowledgments have not been uploaded for that day or if there are unaccepted orders still in the system.
To generate a parts sales data extract manually:
Click Manufacturer Systems > GM > RIM menu > Daily manual file creation.
The GM RIM form (for generating extracts) is displayed.
Click Generate.
Several things can happen, including:
The message Uploading movements appears in the Status bar and the progress bar indicates how much of the task has completed as a proportion of the whole. When it completes, you are returned automatically to the RIM Menu.
If no orders have been loaded for your Purchase Control company, a dialog box displays the message:
No orders have been loaded today.
Please load and process all orders before creating a new sales data extract using the Manual file creation option on the RIM menu.
If this dialog box is displayed, when you click OK you are returned to the RIM Menu. You should load and process all orders before repeating this procedure.
A dialog box displays the Select SO Company form.
Select for a single company, or for all companies.
Note: New extracts can be generated for every company. If a message is displayed informing you that data problems were encountered in one or more companies, correct the problem and repeat this procedure.
