Key Card Vehicle Data vs. Autoline Vehicle Data

The Align key card data form enables you to update data stored on the key card and/or the data for the same vehicle held in the Marketing/CRM module of Autoline. We refer to that process as aligning the data. You can align the data either when using the card reader in the Point-of-Sale module of Autoline or when using the card reader in the Manufacturer Systems module of Autoline.

Comparing and Aligning Vehicle Data

To compare and align vehicle data:

  1. If you have not already done so, either load the key card in Autoline Point-of-Sale or load the key card in Autoline Manufacturer Systems.

The Renault key card data form is displayed and data stored on the key card populates the form.

  2. Click Compare Key with DMS.

The Align key card data form is displayed and, where the data differs between Autoline and the key card, the affected values in the Card and DMS columns are coloured red.

  3. Select the values to be stored on the card and click Save.

The following message is displayed in the Status bar:

    Saving data to card...

When the data transfer is complete, you are returned to the Renault key card data form with its data updated.

Align Key Card Data Form

This form is displayed when you click Compare Key with DMS on the Renault key card data form or when you select the Compare key card and DMS option from the Key reader menu. It enables you to accept data, field by field or as a whole, from either the key card or from Autoline.

The form contains three adjacent columnar group boxes titled Card, DMS, and New Value, respectively. Each of those group boxes contains the same fields (labelled in a column on the left of the form): VIN, Registration, Fab number, AS Type, Colour/Paint, Reg Date, and Next Service. In the Card and DMS groups, each value is associated with an option button (radio button) and in the New Value group each value is displayed in a box (with no accompanying option button).

The fields in the New Value group contain the value either from the key card or from Autoline, depending on whether you select the option button for that field in the Card group or the DMS group, respectively. For example, to use the registration number as recorded in Autoline, select the Registration option button in the DMS group.

Note: You can edit the contents of the New Value group except VIN and Next Service.

VIN: Vehicle identification number

Note: You cannot accept the Autoline VIN (VIN in the DMS group) because the VIN on the key card is always presumed to be correct and it cannot be changed.

Registration: Vehicle registration number

Fab number: Vehicle fabrication number (equivalent to the factory order number in the vehicle record in the Marketing/CRM module of Autoline)

AS Type: Aftersales type (equivalent to MODELGRP in the vehicle record in the Marketing/CRM module of Autoline)

Colour/Paint: Code identifying the vehicle colour scheme, equivalent to COLCODE in the vehicle record in the Marketing/CRM module of Autoline

Reg Date: Date the vehicle was registered

Next Service: Date when the next service on the vehicle is due

Note: You cannot accept the next service date stored on the key card (Next Service in the Card group) because the next service date stored in Autoline is presumed to be correct.

PUSH BUTTONS:

Accept all Card values: Populates boxes in the New Value group with corresponding values from the Card group, so the key card data is used instead of Autoline data. (Next Service remains blank, however.)

Accept all DMS values: Populates boxes in the New Value group with corresponding values from the DMS group, so Autoline data is used instead of the key card data. (VIN remains blank, however.)

Cancel: Returns you to the Renault key card data form, abandoning any selections you made after you last clicked Save

Save: Stores the values shown in the New Value group and returns you to the Renault key card data form

Launch ICM: Starts a browser, which displays information about the key card vehicle held by Renault. (Button displayed only if the CRM/Marketing module contains a record of the key card vehicle.)

Note: If you do not have a WIP record loaded, the Launch ICM button does not work.

Reset: Clears all option buttons and clears all boxes in the New Value group

Help: Displays this help topic in a web browser
