Volvo UK warranty parameters form

The Volvo UK warranty parameters form is displayed when you select the Parameters option from the Tools menu of the Volvo UK warranty claims form. From this form you can change the settings of four warranty parameters. These parameters are only accessible by priority 9 users.

Warranty purge days: The number of days that warranty claims remain on the Autoline system. This is normally set to 30 days. Claims older than the period entered in this parameter are deleted automatically when the Purge option is run.

Claims per invoice: The number of claims that you can create from a single invoice:

Create repair order using: What should the system use to create the repair order (claim) number?

The option that you choose affects the way that the system generates job numbers.

Warning: If you change the setting of the Create repair order using parameter while there are existing claims in the warranty system, you could cause problems with the claim creation.

WIP franchises: The franchise letter(s) used in Point-of-Sale to identify a Volvo WIP. Normally V.

Values: Indicates jobs for which you invoice values in POS, not hours. For example, this is normally used for sub-contract work (S), Sundries (Z), Car Hire (U) and Reports (T). For any labour type code that you enter in this field, the system will automatically set the labour quantity to 0 (zero).

Dealer number: The dealer number assigned by Volvo.

Next repair order no: If you are creating the repair order number using the next sequential number (e.g the Create repair order using field is set to Next sequential number), this field indicates the next repair order number that the system will use to create a claim. This field is automatically updated by the system. Set to 1 initially.
