Creating a New Service Notification

You should use the Auto-create option to create service notifications. However, if you know the WIP number against which the service was invoiced, or you want to create a service notification for a single WIP, you can use the New option on the File menu.

To create a new service notification:

  1. From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS MENU, select the Service notifications option and the Point-of-Sale company required.

    The Volvo service notification form is displayed.

  2. From the File menu, select the New option.

    The system prompts you to enter the WIP number.

    Tip: Alternatively, click the Create button on the Volvo service notification form. The only difference with the Create option is that you are not prompted to input a WIP number. You only have a facility to search for WIPs.

  3. Enter the WIP number on which you invoiced the service and click OK.

    Tip: If the WIP number is unknown, click the Ellipsis button to carry out a search.

    The details of the service are copied into the form.

  4. Update the service notification record as necessary and click Save.

    The service notification is created.

  5. You must now submit any service notifications that you have created to Volvo.
