After the menu is identified that matches your vehicle/job selection and, if applicable, you have indicated whether you want to create any surcharge credits and selected any linked jobs that you want to perform, a check is made to see if alternative prices exist on the database for the menu. If there is more than one price, and the negotiation flag Display promotional prices on entry is ticked, they are displayed on the Price Selection form. At this point, you should select the price that you want to use. If required, you can change your selection of price at the negotiation stage.
Via the Point-of-Sale GPSS/VSTG interface, it is possible to select a price that relates to Volvo Fast Track (VFT). VFT pricing is based on the job values and parts prices held within Volvo's normal GPSS packages, with an overriding price on both labour and parts. These rates are identified on the VFT tab of the parameters. Although VFT jobs are normally priced at these special rates, the ability to amend parts discount and labour rates is retained in Point-of-Sale.
To change your selection of alternative price:
In Point-of-Sale, display a GPSS package.
Click the Prices button on the Volvo GPSS/VSTG Negotiation Form.
Note: The Prices button is only enabled if alternative prices exist against the menu.
The Price selection form is displayed.
Select the price that you want to use.
Click OK.
If alternative prices apply to the menu, and the negotiation flag Display promotional prices on entry is ticked, the Price Selection form is displayed after the menu is identified, and you have indicated whether you want to create any surcharge credits. It is also displayed when you click the Prices button on the Volvo GPSS/VSTG Negotiation form. Within this form, you can apply an alternative price to the menu. Select the price that you want to use and click OK.
Current Prices:
Description: A description of the price. For example, Default selling price, VFT (Volvo Fast Track) or the description of a dealer fixed price.
Note: The Default selling price is the retail price, including any discounts and labour rates from the Sales Ledger, excluding any surcharge credits that you have chosen to create.
The VFT price is only displayed if VFT pricing is enabled on the VFT tab of the parameters. The VFT price is the default selling price less the parts discount percentage identified on the VFT tab.
Price: The total fixed price including VAT.
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Applies the selected price to the menu.
Cancel: Cancels your selection and returns you to the Volvo GPSS/VSTG Negotiation form.
