Various use of functionality in CRM might require you to amend the General CRM Parameters.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer-specific > X4. Generic - CRM > Generic CRM parameters and you browse to + CRM parameters > + General CRM Parameters > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser. It maintains General CRM Parameters records for the selected company.
Reciprocal customer relationship creation:
Create link: Select how you want to create a link between the prime and the secondary record of two customers. In CRM you can create a relationship between two customer records via Extra Details.
Never (No links are created)
Ask (The user must confirm to create a link based on the completed partner data)
Automatically (A link is created automatically)
Note: The link is only saved after saving the Extra Details record!
Warning: If a link is changed, the link on the previous secondary customer record is deleted!
Show extra info for associated vehicles:
Not selected: The default layout will be displayed in the grid of the Associated vehicles tab of the My Desktop form, with columns Registration number, Description, Status and Link.
Selected: Select to display the Model, First Reg’n and Mileage columns additionally in grid of the Associated vehicles tab of the My Desktop form. The Model column is populated with the information from the Franchise data Model file. The model information is taken from the CRM Vehicle record in case the information is not available in the Franchise data Model file. The First Reg’n column is populated with the Previous reg. date field of the vehicle record. The Date registered is taken in case the Previous reg. date field is blank. The Mileage column is populated with the Last know mileage of the vehicle record.
Note: The Registration number column is reduced to 12 digits and the Description column for is reduced to 28 digits to display the extra information in the grid of the Associated vehicles tab of the My Desktop form.
Note: This display format is available in branch 2 of product MS-X4-X4CRMVEINF as long as no report format has been created. Once a report format has been created this display format will never be available again unless the fields are included in the report format. If the the wording Line format available is displayed next to the
icon a report format has been created.
Selected and report format created: The format will be displayed as created in the report format. Select the
icon to create or change the report format. Once a report has been created the wording Line format available will be displayed next to the icon.
Enable email attachments from CRM contacts: Select to enable attachments to be emailed from the CRM contact form. If the new column Attach is selected on the grid in the CRM Documents tab, the file will be attached and send with the email.
Note: This function is limited to only one file per email and the selected file (including the path) may not exceed 100 characters.
