The Family tree form is displayed when the Family tree option is selected from the REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu.
Upon entering the form, click the OK button.
Once the OK button has been clicked on the Family Tree form, the results of your enquiry are now shown on screen. The details of split assets are listed in tabular format in order of the date on which the split took place with the most recent ones shown last.
For each asset, information is shown under the following headings:
Date of birth: This is the date on which the split was performed.
Class: The Asset Class within which the split took place. Note that assets may be sub-divided within Classes only and not between them.
Item: This is the unique, identifying four-digit Item Number of the child asset within its Asset Class.
Description: The full, descriptive title of the child asset, which may be up to thirty alphanumeric characters in length.
Parent Item: The unique, identifying dour-digit number of the parent asset within its Asset Class, from which this child asset was split.
Use the Asset transfers option to print out information on all assets that have been transferred between Asset Classes.
On the printout, the transferred assets appear twice: once under their source Asset Class heading and once under their destination Asset Class heading.
Information on each transferred asset is printed in the following headings: Description, Model Number, Serial Number and Transfer Date. Also given are the original and new Item Numbers and Asset Classes.
Use the Family tree option to display on screen details of assets that have been split into parents and children.
On the screen, details of sub-divided assets are listed in order of the date on which the split took place, with the most recent ones shown last. For each asset, information is given under the following headings: Date of Birth, Asset Class, Item Number, Description and parent Item Number.
Both options are available on the Reports & Enquiries Menu, selected from the Asset Register Menu.
Note: Details of asset transfer and split operations that took place in previous financial years are no longer available on the Register and cannot be reported upon.
