There are two prices associated with Trade Partner discounted parts, that of Trade Partner customers and that of Secondary Network dealers, in addition to the usual retail price for non-members. Renault advise dealers of the Trade Partner/Retail Dealer discounts via internal activity packs which are sent out annually and each quarter.
On the Autoline system, both prices are held on the Prices And Costs tab of the stock record. The Trade Partner price is normally held in the third occurrence of the Price field. The Secondary Network price is normally held in the second occurrence. These prices are calculated from a table of discounts, by promotion code, held in the Renault Manufacturer Systems, Trade Partner maintenance sub-menu.
You must recalculate these prices whenever either the price file is updated or the promotion code discounts change.
Note: Renault are now starting to offer one-off, special prices to dealers on specific part numbers. These are input via the Contract pricing option on the POINT OF SALE menu. For details, see Contract Pricing.
To recalculate the prices and update the stock file:
The Trade Partner maintenance menu is displayed.
The Trade partners pricing form is displayed.
Click OK.
The system recalculates the discounts and updates appropriate parts on the price file. Parts that have a discounted promotion code are updated and a T suffix is appended to the discount code. For example, discount code 10 changes to discount code 10T.
You must now update the stock file with these changes. Do this for all stock companies used by your franchise.
