Continuous stationery P45 (PR/rgK46, PR/fsK46)

The Continuous stationery P45 option allows you to print on a dot matrix or impact printer using HMRC supplied Continuous P45 stationery P45 details for leaving employees or for employees who have left in the current PAYE year. The standard continuous stationery P45 format used is called K46.

Note: The P45 formats may be user defined within the General - 1 TAB of the payroll type parameters should there be alignment issues with the standard supplied formats. See Payroll type parameters for a further explanation.

If you want to print P45's on plain paper you should instead use the LEAVERS REPORTS menu option called Current leavers' P45 details.

If you have Laser stationery P45's you should instead use the LEAVERS REPORTS menu options called Laser printed P45 parts 1 & 1A and Laser printed P45 parts 2 & 3.

To print continuous stationery P45's

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Payroll option and Company you require.

    The Payroll Password form is displayed.

  2. Enter your payroll password.

    The PAYROLL menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Reports & enquiries option.

    The PR REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.

  4. Select the Leavers reports menu option.

    The LEAVERS REPORTS menu is displayed.

  5. Select the Continuous stationery P45 option.

    The Continuous stationery P45 form is displayed.

  6. Proceed to complete each of the prompts.

  7. A report status is displayed and the report is output on the current selected printer.

  8. Click Close to return to the LEAVERS REPORTS menu.


Continuous stationery P45 form

The Continuous stationery P45 form is displayed when you select the Continuous stationery P45 option from the LEAVERS REPORTS menu.

Prompts

You are first prompted with the format name being used and the type of stationery. You should confirm you have the correct type of stationery loaded in your printer and click the Continue button otherwise click the Exit button to return you to the LEAVERS REPORTS menu.

You are then prompted with the following options:-

Click OK to proceed with the Align-P45s or Print-P45s options otherwise select Exit or click Cancel to return to the LEAVERS REPORTS menu without printing P45 details.

From employee (0 for all): Enter the first employee number for which you wish to have the P45's printed. Leave the From employee as 0 if you wish to have a report on all P45's up to the To employee entered.

To employee end (0 for all): Enter the last employee number for which you wish to have the P45's printed. Leave the To employee as 0 if you wish to have a report on all P45's from the From employee entered.

Y to include already left: Enter Y if you wish to include employees who have already left in the current PAYE year who have their Left field set to Y.

Click OK followed by Close once the report is shown.

All of the fields on the latest specification of the P45 are printed.

P45 records are included when the following conditions are met:-

PUSH BUTTONS:

OK: Prints the P45's to the currently selected printer in employee number order.

Cancel: Returns you to the LEAVERS REPORTS menu.

Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.

Schedule: Displays the Timed Operations Scheduler.

Add to batch: Displays an Add report to batch form in which a report may be batched for printing in a report group.
