Backorders Form

The Backorders form is displayed when you double-click a transaction on the B.orders tab of a stock record. From this form, you can view details about the customer back order extracted from the Parts line and Header records. This information is displayed on the following two tabs:

Parts Line Tab

Part number: The unpacked part number.

Part description: The description of the part on the stock record.

Line number: The WIP line number on which the order was placed.

Order type: The parts status code used on the WIP.

Order qty: The quantity of the part back ordered on the WIP.

Date required: The date the part is required, as input at the time the back order was raised.

Sell price: The retail price for a single unit of the part.

Cost price: The cost price of a single unit of the part.

Sale of surcharge: If the system is set up to utilise different values for the Sale and Cost of Sale (COS) of surcharges, this field holds the surcharge sale value determined by the manufacturer or the operator for a single unit of the part. If the system is set up to utilise the same values for the Sale and Cost of Sale of surcharges, this field is not populated.

Surcharge: If the system is set up to utilise different values for the Sale and Cost of Sale (COS) of surcharges, this field holds the purchase price of the surcharge (Cost of Sale) as defined by the manufacturer/supplier. If the system is set up to utilise the same values for the Sale and Cost of Sale of surcharges, this field displays the value for both.

Discount: The total amount of discount applied to the part.

Discount code: The up to 3-character discount code for the part.

VAT code: The VAT code applied to the part. This is normally Standard.

Bin location: The bin location in which the part is normally held.

Reorder category: The single alpha character re-order category code in the range A-Z.

Salesman: The operator number of the salesman that raised the backorder.

Supplier: The Purchase Ledger account code of the supplier against whom the order was placed.


WIP Header Tab

WIP number: The WIP number on which the order was taken.

Created: The date that the WIP was created.

Account: The customer's Sales Ledger account code.

Customer:


Name: The name of the customer to whom the parts are to be delivered.

Phone no: The telephone number of the customer to whom the parts are to be delivered.


Status: The current WIP status.

Reg no: The registration number of the vehicle for which the parts were ordered.

Department code: The POS department code entered on the Codes tab of the WIP, e.g. P, W or B.
