Should any software or system problem cause the Point-of-Sale module (or individual WIPs within this module) to fail, it may be possible to recover the failed WIPs from the Point-of-Sale shadow files. This program allows you to recover all WIPs or a specific WIP, and is normally run by a Timed Operation.
In order for a WIP to be recovered, it must meet the following criteria:
The Status field in the log header file must be set to X.
The Status field in the log header file must NOT be set to:
The Recovery possible field in the log header file must be set to Y. (When you create labour lines, they are written into shadow files (a mirror image of the WIP). It is at this point that the Recovery possible flag is set to Y. However, if the shadow files are full, an E-mail is sent to the Administrator, and the flag is not set.)
The Posting date field in the log header file must be today's date.
