The process of creating a quotation on a new vehicle is started by clicking the New vehicle icon on the Showroom Customer Enquiries form, or by selecting Change vehicle from the Edit menu of the Enquiry Builder form.
If there is more than one company set up in the Franchise Data module then a list of companies is displayed. Select one to begin the process of specifying the vehicle for the quotation. This process involves making selections on a sequence of forms, each with Next and Previous buttons in both the toolbar and the bottom-right corner to allow for easy navigation. These help files follow the same sequence, so for information on the first form see the next page.
Note: Once the process has been started, only users with the priority level set for cancelling/exiting in System parameters can exit. Other users must follow the process through to Estimate Form where the quotation can be stored as lost sale.
Throughout the process, left-click on an option to select it. Where multiple options are possible ticks are displayed to mark selections.
Warning: The next button is usually disabled if at least one option must be selected. However, some forms are displayed with the first option on a list selected by default. Make sure you have understood the implications of selections on each form before proceeding to the next.
The following are available on every form in the sequence. Some forms have extra options which are described on the relevant help page.
