Default record maintenance

Warning: use with caution as any incorrect information entered in these files may cause problems within other areas of Autoline. The main use of this option is at time of go live by consultants in conjunction with your management but can be maintained by a high level user or support staff.

Within this option are all files that may require a default, it is not compulsory to enter defaults in all of the files but it's a very useful way of saving time for the users if the information in some files are always the same .e.g. If there is only one Company location that uses Showroom quotations then their location code can be entered here and every time a quotation is created it will always use the location entered in the default record.

File: The Autoline file name.

Description: The description of the file.

Number records: The current number of records in the file.

Max records: The maximum amount of record this file will hold.

Note: The files listed in blue already have default records.

Amend default records

Click on the required file to select then click maintain to view and amend the default record. A column will be presented, any header that are marked in yellow are the main key(s) to the file, this is how Autoline sequences and find the records being looked for when loading information. The left hand column is the header and can not be removed. The right hand column is the value of the default, Click into it to amend or enter the value. Once amendments have been done the cancel and save buttons will be enabled.

Buttons:

Exit: Returns you to the SR System Maintenance Menu.

Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.

Cancel: Returns you to the SR System Maintenance Menu.

Maintain: Once a file has been selected click the maintain button to view the fields within the file, at this point the defaults can be entered .

Save: Only enabled after an amendment, saves the new default and exits to the SR System Maintenance Menu.
