Enquiry Search Results

This form displays a list of enquiries matching the criteria selected from the Find Customer Enquiry search options. If the form is blank then no enquiries were found.

The list displayed contains the fields:

Reference: The unique reference, assigned on creation, for the enquiry.

Customer Name: The customer's name.

N/U: New or Used.

Vehicle: The description of the vehicle, or in the case of a direct used vehicle purchase it displays Trade-in Purchase.

Qty: Quantity (number) is displayed when there is more than one vehicle ordered. The number of vehicles can be entered in the quotations at the point of creation on the purchase summary. If a quotation is printed then this field is not editable, the only time this can be amended is if a enquiry is stored in progress.

Tip: If there is a number in the Qty box, double click the box to redisplay all the related enquiries.

Finance: Displays either the finance type, company, scheme and period, or displays Cash payment, TI (Trade-ins) or Quick Quote.

Date: The date the quote was created.

S: The status of the enquiry is represented as follows:

Note: Enquiry status is not always displayed in VSB mode because some are related directly to MKV Stocking vehicles, for example Invoiced vehicles.

Exec: Displays the sales executive's user ID that the enquiry belongs to.

Tip: Within the results grid a green arrow appears on the header to indicate that a reverse search facility is available. Click the required heading to sort, depending on the data, in either alpha or numeric order. Click again for to reverse the sort order.

When the results are displayed, right click on a selected enquiry to display a sub menu with other options:

The quotes listed may be displayed in different colours to differentiate them.

Menu Options and Ions:

File > Exit Exit Returns you the previous screen.
Edit > Backoffice mode Back office Enables/disables Backoffice mode.
Edit > Including VAT Including VAT Enables/disables the inclusion of Value Added Tax in prices for vehicles and options. On forms which list such prices, the window title bar displays the current setting, either Including VAT or Excluding VAT.
View > Previous Go Back Navigate back to the previous form.
View > Next Next The next option will only be enabled if a vehicle has been selected, click next to display the chosen enquiry.
Edit > Lock workstation   Locks the current session. This can be used to prevent unauthorized access while a terminal is left unattended. A password can be set and is required to unlock the session this is set in the Guest tab of User details in the System Utilities module. The lock can also be initiated by pressing CTRL+ALT+Z.
