Dealer Transfers On Consignments

This routine is designed to automatically process transfers on consignment in respect of new vehicles.

Warning: Users are advised not to use this option until confirmation of the dealer transfer has been received from the manufacturer/importer. This is often done by means of a consignment credit note.

Note: New vehicles which have been adopted cannot be transferred, using this method. They must be sold using the main invoice method. On the identity tab, enter any relevant details within the free text area marked Memo/Notes

Tip: Before continuing the dealer transfer select Print-other-document to produce a delivery note/vehicle condition check document to send with the vehicle.

To Dealer transfer a vehicle.

From the Vehicle Administration form.

Select the Vehicle option on the Drop Downdrop down menu.

Select the Dealer transfer option.

A window message may appear indicating that the dealer transfer will not be allowed on the basis that there are costs on the vehicle record which are at R or O status. This suggests that costs have been charged or are about to be charged to the vehicle. For the transfer to take place, these must be credited. The account status of the vehicle being transferred must not have passed consigned. If not applicable, a form will be displayed with the following:

Account No: Enter the dealer transfer account number.

Dealer Name: Enter the Dealerships name.

Address: Enter the dealerships address.

Post code: Enter dealerships postcard.

Transfer date: Enter date of transfer.

Tick on the check box to enable the postings to match the transfer date.

Click on the 'Process' Button to complete.

The CRM vehicle record, together with the vehicle stock book record, are both set to status X once the transfer has been completed.
