This topic covers the option run immediately prior to the nominal ledger month end and which provides the basis for analysing late costs and consolidating files where necessary.
One of the major problems faced by dealer accountants and sales managers is measuring the effect of late costs. Two particular issues are at stake here, the first one being the possibility that sales commission has already been calculated on values which are no longer accurate. In addition to this, the effect of costs or income relating to vehicles sold in prior months can only update the current month nominal ledger, which will obviously have a disturbing effect on the current month's vehicle gross profit. In order to provide analysis of what these variances are, certain data is maintained on the vehicle cost and profit page
