Light Validation

There is a warranty parameter called light validation. It enables the system to accept less information on a valid claim in places such as point-of-sale, allowing a cost clerk who has little knowledge of warranty procedures to complete and invoice a claim.

The requirements for a valid warranty claim using light validation are:

• Complete VIN (17 characters, all numeric)

• Vehicle model code

• Customer concern code

• Condition code
