Introduction

The Price File software allows you to update the Autoline system with data supplied by a manufacturer or smaller parts suppliers. Once the price file is loaded onto the system, the Update-discount-codes option is run and the mapping is copied onto the master price file.

Each Ford part number has two different discount codes:

1. One is used to purchase the part

2. The other is used to sell the part and an major line item (MLI) code

Note: If there is more than one Ford dealership on the same system they must use the same discount structure for MLI codes.

Set-up

Before you can perform any of the above actions, you must ensure that the Autoline system is set up correctly. This is normally carried out by, or on advice from, a consultant.
